New Balance 574 “Sonic Pack” Fall/Winter 2010

After stepping out of its “comfort zone” and working on a return of the BB790 basketball silhouette, New Balance is striving to continue experimenting with ways to properly kick off this new decade in sneakers. In the fall/winter of 2010, the result of one such experiment will release in three different colorways. The New Balance 574 “Sonic Pack” pictured here will get the attention of passers by once they notice that places where you would usually find stitching no longer exist. In fact, New Balance has found a way to weld the toe box and side panels together with the rest of the shoe by using heat and pressure. The result is a quite literally seamless pair of the New Balance 574 that is sure to remind several sneakerheads of the Nike Dunk “One Pieces.” Each pair of the New Balance 574 in this “Sonic Pack” will consist of a mixed suede and mesh upper in a solid color, with a white midsole and black outsole. The only other hint of color will come by way of the heel tab. You can expect the New Balance 574 “Sonic Pack” to release from select New Balance retailers starting in the fall/winter of 2010.
