Michael Jordan will present Russell Westbrook into the 2016 Oklahoma Hall of Fame. This is a huge honor for Westbrook and none other then MJ will present the honor.
Westbrook actually picked Michael Jordan due to him being an inspirational person in his life. Westbrook signed with Jordan Brand back in 2012 and in more recent years, has been the face of the latest signature shoe.
“We are truly excited to have Michael Jordan presenting Russell Westbrook, and we are equally fortunate to have a full slate of accomplished presenters joining us at this year’s ceremony,” said Shannon L. Rich, president and CEO of the Oklahoma Hall of Fame and Gaylord-Pickens Museum. “They provide us a meaningful opportunity to celebrate this year’s inductees and forward our mission of telling Oklahoma’s story through its people.”
The 89th Oklahoma Hall of Fame Banquet & Induction Ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City.
