Jordan Team models aren’t loved by everyone. However, fans of the late ‘90s and early 2000s sneakers can appreciate some of the original pairs. Launched in 2000, Randy Moss’ Jordan Super Freak will return in 2027.

Randy Moss was the first NFL player to sign with Jordan Brand, and he helped design the Jordan Super Freak. The name comes from Moss’ nickname, “The Super Freak.” Originally released in 2000, we would see a retro release in 2010. However, there was one big difference. The original pair featured “Eighty 4” on the tongue, Randy Moss’ number. The 2010 pair features “Twenty 3,” since at the time, Moss was no longer with Jordan Brand.

Furthermore, in 2010, Jordan Brand renamed the “Super Freak” to “Cover 3.” This was also due to Moss not being part of the Jordan Brand family. As for the 2026 pair, it will be called the “Super Freak.” Currently, I haven’t seen anything publicly about Randy resigning to JB, but if he did, we can also count on the pair featuring “Eighty 4” on the tongues.

One of the Jordan Super Freak colorways set to return is the original White, Black, Varsity Purple, Metallic Silver, Wolf Grey, and Silver colorway. This is the pair that Moss would wear while playing for the Minnesota Vikings. As for the look, it features White leather on the upper with nubuck on the panels. Unique stitching runs throughout, while a Metallic Silver Jumpman lands on the lateral collar. Highlighted with Purple accents, this pair is known for its zipper shroud that covers the laces.

Jordan Super Freak OG 2027 Release Date
