It looks like the Jordan Series 01 will debut in color options that are connected to Michael Jordan. Some are linked to family members, teams, or important figures in his life. Our latest pair to cover pays tribute to Michael Jordan’s college coach at the University of North Carolina, the late Dean Smith. A huge impact on his life, it only makes sense that Jordan Brand honors him.
Taking a closer look, this Jordan Series 01 features a mixture of suede and mesh materials throughout while ‘Dear Dean’ is embroidered on the lateral heel and tongue label. As for the colors, the pair features UNC shades while Red hits the tongue labels. On the right insole, we have ‘Swing For The Fence’ with a translucent Gum rubber outsole with ‘There Was Never Any Doubt’ and ‘It Went Down In The Backyard’ text.
