2027 is looking to be another solid year of releases from Jordan Brand, and we have another pair from the vault returning, but with a twist. Originally produced in 2005 as a friends and family exclusive, the Eminem x Air Jordan 4 “Encore” will land at retailers for the first time in 2027.
Originally produced in 2005, the shoes were made as a friends-and-family exclusive that celebrated Eminem’s fifth studio album, Encore. Rumor has it, only 50 pairs were produced. We would see a second production run of the shoes in 2017 to celebrate Eminem’s “Revival” album. Just like the original, the shoes were not available at retailers. 23 pairs were made, but one was available via a charitable campaign on StockX. Proceeds benefited the Marshall Mathers Foundation.
This Air Jordan 4 comes dressed in a Blue Ribbon, Game Purple, Stealth, and Black color scheme. While the shoes will be in collaboration with Eminem, there will be a few things that will change compared to the original. For example, instead of Red, this pair will have Purple detailing. This will be a minor change for those who own the original pair, making them unique. Furthermore, you can expect the shape to be updated to reflect the original Air Jordan 4 mold.
As for the build, it will feature Blue Ribbon across the upper with a nubuck finish. Translucent details land on the wing eyelets, while Purple appears on the Jumpman branding. In addition to Black accents, “Eminem” will be placed on the inside of the tongue. Other details include White around the Air unit, while Stealth and Black cover the rubber outsole.
Currently, it isn’t known if this pair will have a Jumpman or Nike Air on the heel. While the original came with a Jumpman, it’s possible the retro will feature Nike Air.
