It’s official. Miami Heat’s Dwyane Wade has parted ways with Jordan Brand and makes Beijing’s Li-Ning his new home.

You may ask: Why? Well, as this news may come as unexpected or as a surprise to many, the rumors may now cease as Evan Turner confirms the move through a recent tweet:

“I’d like to welcome the homie D Wade to the Li-Ning family!!!”.

Other credible sources like ESPN also add their take on the matter concluding that the transition may have come as a direct result of Wade’s contract having expired yesterday and the opportunity to now become the brand’s biggest endorser. Altogether, Dwyane Wade will join the likes of other Li-Ning athletes like Shaquille O’Neal, Jose Calderon, Baron Davis, and former UConn center Hasheem Thabeet.

So…what does this mean for the Dwyane Wade signature sneaker? Was leaving Jordan Brand a bad move for business? We’d like to hear from you. Share your thoughts in our comment section below and stay tuned to Sneaker Files for more on this developing story.
