Responding to a call from DeRozan on Twitter, Dell Treasure, 28 of Layton, Utah, went to Nike iD and created “a nice, clean sneaker that would work on a lot of different levels.”
One level, off the bat, earned a positive reaction from the Raptors guard, who chose the design from the many that were submitted and will wear it tonight in New York.
“MSG is the last old-school arena in the NBA. It’s a throwback to a time where the game was the only thing that mattered, so I wanted to choose a fan design that was simple and reflective of that,” he says.
DeMar DeRozan will wear this Nike Kobe AD tonight at 7:30 PM EST while the Toronto Raptors take on the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. Check out more images below which will give you a closer look.
