Awake NY x Jordan Air Ship “University Red” Releasing March 2024

The Air Ship has returned in a big way, starting in 2022. While we saw the initial return take place in 2020, plenty of inline color options have arrived at retailers. If you’re wondering what’s in store for upcoming releases, we have several collaborations set to launch. One of those is Awake NY, who will launch their very own Jordan Air Ship.

What makes the Jordan Air Ship so iconic (originally known as the Nike Air Ship), is it was the first shoe Michael Jordan wore in the NBA. Furthermore, it was the shoe that was officially banned by the NBA. Designed by none other than Bruce Kilgore, the silhouette was first released in 1984.

This Jordan Air Ship by Awake NY features a White leather across the upper with Gym Red and Game Royal on the right and left shoe, respectively. Next, we have Awake NY’s ‘A’ logo stitched on the lateral side, Metallic Silver Swoosh logos, an aged midsole, and a semi-translucent outsole. Each pair will come with a metal Jumpman hangtag.

Here is a new look at the Awake NY x Jordan Air Ship and matching apparel collection. A varsity jacket, t-shirt, crewneck, flannel, basketball shorts, and a hat will be released along with the shoes.
