Japanese designer Ryota Iwai founded Auralee in 2015 and is known for paying attention to detail. Not only does Ryota have his own brand, but they have also provided their expertise to New Balance. Both brands look to make a strong statement in 2024 through collaborations. It makes sense that the two will connect on several silhouettes. As part of Auralee’s Fall/Winter 2024 lineup, they will debut two colorways of the New Balance 990v4 Made in USA.
One pair of the New Balance 990v4 comes dressed in a Greyscale color scheme with the signature New Balance “N” logo in Dark Blue on the panels. A lighter shade of Blue adorns the toe and part of the midsole. Lastly, they come laced with Cream laces. The second pair is a bit more vibrant. Highlighted in various shades of Blue on the upper with Cream and Green on the heel counter. A light shade of Blue fills in the “N” logo that’s wrapped in a darker shade. Both pairs have a premium theme, constructed with pigskin suede, leather, and mesh. Lastly, the two will have co-branding on the insoles.
