This release is one of many OG pairs that will return, giving fans what they want and have been asking for.

Elden Monitors first reported the style code and colorway. However, our sources confirmed that the “White Cement” Air Jordan 4 will not be “Reimagined” as outlets previously reported. The shoes will feature the original build and look.

White Cement Jordan 4 Through the Years

Here’s a brief history rundown on the “White Cement” Jordan 4. The shoes have been released four times, with the fifth arriving in 2025. The original release occurred in 1989 and was one of four original colorways. When it comes to the original pair, no retro has topped it. The build and materials make the 1989 iteration so sought-after by collectors. They truly don’t make them like they used to. However, the days of wearing this pair are long gone. The midsole on most is cracked or deteriorated. A sole-swap could fix this, which many have done.

The first retro release was in 1999, and it was close to the OG shape. To date, this version of the “White Cement” is the best retro. But with age, it is no longer wearable. In 2012, we saw another release. However, this iteration came with a Jumpman on the heel instead of the beloved Nike Air. Although fans were upset, it didn’t stop the shoes from selling out. The last time the shoes were brought to retailers was in 2016. This time, Jordan Brand brought back the Nike Air branding and was an instant sell-out.

In the 1980s, everyone wanted to be like Mike. We thought you could fly like MJ if you wore his shoes. However, there were times when the “White Cement” showed up in pop culture. One of the biggest moments was in the film Do The Right Thing. The scene featured Buggin Out, played by Giancarlo Esposito when a passerby scuffed his “White Cement” 4s. A back-and-forth ensued, and eventually, Buggin Out was left to clean his pair with a toothbrush. In 2024, Esposito re-created the scene on his Instagram, featuring featuring Lethal Shooter (Chris Matthews), Danrue, and Lance Woods.

The 2025 Release

The 2025 version will be dressed in a Summit White, Fire Red, Tech Grey, and Black color scheme. While some have been reporting that the shoes will be a “Reimagined” version, they will not. Jordan Brand will attempt to make the overall shape and look as close to the ’89 pair as possible. It will feature White leather across the base with Tech Grey and speckled details on the wing eyelets and part of the midsole. The signature mesh netting will land on the panels and down the tongues. Next, Black fills in the iconic “Nike Air” branding on the heels, eyelets, around the toe cap, and a part of the midsole. Other details include a Red Jumpman on the tongue and the signature visible Air unit in the heels.

Air Jordan 4 White Cement 2025 Release Date
