For the first time, Jordan Brand will release a pair of sneakers in collaboration with the Jackie Robinson estate. In the past, they have created player exclusives for their team members. However, pairs were never released to the public. In Summer 2027, we will see the “Jackie Robinson” Air Jordan 4 MCS cleats launch at select retailers.
This cleated Air Jordan 4 is dressed in a Royal Blue, Dark Royal Blue, Lake Blue, and Pale Ivory color scheme. The colors used are a nod to Robinson’s playing days with the Brooklyn Dodgers. Highlighted in Blue across the upper with a textile overlay around the mudguard. The mesh netting, liner, and tongue will also come in Blue, while Pale Ivory adorns the laces and midsole.
What stands out the most is the special tributes to Jackie Robinson. On the lateral side, we have his signature, while his number “42” is placed on the tongues. The heel tabs will also be translucent, with a photo of Jackie Robinson behind them.
