Spike Lee’s latest film, ‘Chi-Raq’ has inspired Van Monroe to design a custom Air Jordan 4. Based out of Cleveland, Monroe designed the Air Jordan 4 ‘Chi-Raq’ Custom exclusively for Spike Lee.
Starting the design process, he chose the ‘Oreo’ Air Jordan 4 as his canvas. On the toe box and heel, Monroe took artwork from the movie cover. This has resulted in stars on the toe box and camouflage print on the heel. Hits of red and green are also seen that match the movie poster. Towards the heel is Spike Lee’s logo for his company ’40 Acres and a Mule’ while the box features the movies lead character, Lysistrata.
