Jordan Brand will release another pair inspired by Mexican heritage with the release of the “El Vuelo” Air Jordan 3. This pair follows the debut of the “El Grito” Air Jordan 5 in 2024. Inspired by lucha libre wrestling, the pair will debut in September for Mexican Independence Day.
This Air Jordan 3 is dressed in Summit White, Metallic Gold, Pine Green, Dragon Red, and Sail. Going over the sneakers, it features Summit White on the leather upper. The panels feature a unique design with a textured finish that is inspired by luchador masks. Furthermore, Red accents wrap the toe and heel, and Green drapes the collar, connecting to Mexico. Adding a premium feel, Metallic Gold appears on the Jumpman branding and top eyelets. The embroidered Jumpman on the heel lands on a shiny patent leather backdrop.
On the inside of the tongues, we have “QUE FUERZA” and “MÁS VALE MAÑA,” which translates to “What Strength,” and “Cleverness is Worth More.” The pair also comes with a White midsole and a matching rubber outsole. Even the box is special. It’s inspired by vintage lucha libre promotional posters.
