Jordan Brand will have more classic pairs returning in Spring 2026. One of those pairs arriving at retailers again is the “Chicago” Air Jordan 13. While many speculated how the brand would follow up its 40th Anniversary in 2025, rest assured, we have plenty of original and older retros returning.

Original reports stated the “He Got Game” Air Jordan 13 would return. However, we have confirmed with our sources that the colorway and style code associated with the original report are linked to the “Chicago” Jordan 13.

Air Jordan 13 Chicago History

The Air Jordan 13 โ€œChicagoโ€ is an original colorway released in 1998. Michael Jordan would wear this iconic colorway on-court, and in 2016, a pair that was worn and signed by MJ went up for auction. Before we saw another retro release, Jordan Brand launched a low-top version of the shoes in 2005. Instead of the signature hologram on the ankle, the low-top version features the Jumpman logo. Five years later, in 2010, we would finally see the pair return. Although the shape was slightly off, fans were still happy to see the pair return. The last time we saw a release occur was in 2017.

As for the โ€œChicagoโ€ nickname, this started on the 2017 release. The original pair from 1998 was known as โ€œWhite and Redโ€ but later picked up the โ€œCherryโ€ moniker.

This Air Jordan 13 features a White, Black, and True Red color scheme. The shoes will have the same look and feel as the original release and a White tumbled leather upper with the signature dimples. Next, Red suede appears on the lower part of the shoes, expanding to the heel, and covers the medial side. The signature hologram logo will grace the ankle. Black fills in the Jumpman on the tongues and midsole and outlines the rubber outsole to complete the design.
