Although the hype has died down for the Air Jordan 1, Jordan Brand will continue to drop new colorways of the High OG iteration. While there are still fans of the silhouette, momentum did shift towards the low-top iteration. However, we can expect new colorways in 2026, including the โLove The Gameโ Air Jordan 1 High OG, which is a tribute to when Michael Jordan retired from basketball for the final time in 2003.
When Michael Jordan retired from the NBA in 2003, he wrote a “Dear Basketball” letter that was published in multiple Sunday newspapers.

This Air Jordan 1 High OG, it will come dressed in Shadow Brown, Soft Pearl, Light British Tan, Pale Ivory, Muslin, and Team Red. Highlighted with Sail leather across the base, while Black suede wraps the toe and runs down the eyestays. Additionally, it features Brown basketball-inspired leather on the ankle flap and around the heel. Each pair features the signature Nike Air branding and the Wings logo. What stands out is the leather basketball hangtag attached to it. It reads, โMuch Love and Respect,โ and features the Wings logo. The same phrase is written on the medial side ankle. Other details include a Sail midsole and a Brown rubber outsole.
Each pair also comes with special packaging that is inspired by the original Air Jordan 1 box. However, it comes with basketball textures throughout.

This is a pair that I will officially give my opinion on once we receive a first look. However, if itโs part of the โFor The Love of the Gameโ collection, I will be more intrigued. I like the previous pairs that launched, with the exception of the AJ4, and the 7 is one of my favorites. If I am able to see a first look, I will put together a mock-up showing what they look like.
