One of those is the “Metallic Burgundy” iteration that was initially released in 1985. 39 years later, in 2024, we will see the Air Jordan 1 High 85 “Metallic Burgundy” return to retailers.
This will be the first time that the “Metallic Burgundy” Air Jordan 1 returns. Also known as ‘Maroon’ or “Dark Red,” the shoes use a slightly darker Red compared to the “Metallic Red” iteration.
This Air Jordan 1 High 85 comes dressed in a White and Team Red color combination. We were told by our sources that the infamous color blocking will return in 2024. Since it will be the High 85, it will be the closest to the original to date. Utilizing White leather throughout, the same shade also appears on the laces and midsole. Highlighting the shoes is Metallic Burgundy on the Swoosh logos, collar, and Wings. Finishing the look is Burgundy Nike Air branding on the tongue and rubber outsole.
