adidas had other plans for the D Lillard 1 logo, but before they went into full production the brand decided to change them to the logo we currently see on the heel.
This sample pair in red and white shows Damian Lillard’s “D” on the heel that actually works together to form an L, so the end result is “DL”. The new logo will also use “DL” but aligned different and almost looks to have wings on it. We honestly like the upcoming release version better than the samples.
The adidas D Lillard 1 is releasing in February, but as of now we are unsure if this colorway will be apart of the releases.
