Derrick Rose may be injured now and away from NBA play for some time yet it won’t stop adidas from pushing his newest signature basketball shoe. Succeeding the previous adiZero Rose 2.5 version is the all-new adidas adiZero Rose 3.0.

Seen here in what could be the first of many future colorways of the sneaker is the basic black and red style. Taking a completely route in design, this sneaker features a new perforated/tumbled leather upper, a memory foam ankle collar, a SPRINTFRAME midsole, splattered graphics on the heel counter, a new D.Rose tongue logo, and special graphics representing Derrick Rose’s Engelwood neighborhood.

Unfortunately there’s no word on an official release date for the new black and red adidas adiZero Rose 3.0, however stay tuned to Sneaker Files for the latest news and updates.

  1. A bit boxy on the toebox, a little less streamlined than the 2.0s and 2.5s but all in all cool design especially the little oval shaped cut-outs on the upper. The only think I don’t like about it is the thick midsole and the bulky look of the shoe as a whole.

  2. so many nike details in this shoe. the oval perforations design is very similar to the one from the nike free running shoes. the detail on the toebox is very lebron 9. the exterior outsole shape is very cp3 iv. the black detail of the midsole in the forefoot area is very lebron 9 elite.
and overall, with the bulky look and that fat tongue, they look like SB shoes.

  3. The family tree inside the tongue leads to a new way of customizing. Shows that consumers will become more involved in the shoe design.
