BMX superstar Nigel Sylvester will be given his own version of the Nike 6.0 Mavrk Mid this month, through a colorway that has been appropriately dubbed ‘Chocolate, but for your feet’. This special Mavrk Mid model pulls out all the stops, featuring gold and black stingray leather Swooshes, alternating ostrich leather/croc skin toe boxes, purple quilted lining, and a  translucent toe bumper, the epic detail work does wonders against the shoe’s relatively simple silhouette. Once in a while, Nike 6.0 releases a shoe that doesn’t fit in with its dull collection of shoes. That time is now, with the release of the Nike 6.0 Blazer Mid Women’s in a red plum/vaporize colorway. This Blazer features a buttery red plum suede upper with contrast stitching. On top of that, the light blue vaporize color is placed nicely on the swoosh, ankle, lace area, and vulcanized sole to make this shoe a tasty looking treat. The Nike 6.0 camp recently linked up with artist Stinkween to reinvigorate their Braata skate casual model. The two-pair collaboration is toned in purple canvas/neon green and neon green/suede purple and are accompanied by laces that glow in the dark. Both shoes feature Stink’s unique, multicolored art underneath translucent outsoles. Jack’s Skateboards recently put the Stinkween x Nike 6.0 Braata on pre-order. Nike is coming up with collaborations from everywhere, including Canada. Nike 6.0 has teamed up with Canadian heavy metal band 3 Inches Blood to create the Nike 6.0 Zoom Oncore High – 3 Inches Blood, better known as the Blood Oncore High. This Nike 6.0 shoe carries a dark, bloody tone with its dark purple/blood upper and dark grey sole. The shoe uses suede, leather, and other materials to make this shoe what it is. A black swoosh finishes off the dark tone of the shoe, while the white contrasts and blood colored tongue give this shoe some style. 3 Inches Blood is stitched on the back heel to commemorate the metal band.

While Nike has implemented the concept of glow in the dark sneakers over the past few years, now they have created an even more edgy feature as apart of the Nike 6.0 line. This pair of women’s Dunk Low consists of a “UV Glow” middle section which is light sensitive. When light shown on this area, it reveals an opaque pattern to compliment the rest of the color scheme. Though the Nike SB Line is what most sneakerheads concentrate on these days, the Nike 6.0 Line is currently yielding many models and colorway that may sway one’s opinion. Of these models, the most prevalent is the Nike Dunk Low 6.0 due to the comfort level and support it provides. Today, Nike unveiled 3 pairs of the Nike Dunk Low 6.0’s. All three pairs feature a unique, yet clean colorway. The first pair features a white base, black laces, and a multicolored midsole which ranges from green to orange. The second pair yields a simple gray colorway with white accents, a neon swoosh, and a speckled midsole. The last pair out of today’s release will most likely turn out to be the most popular of the three. This Rastafarian influenced colorway features a brown base accented by the typical Rasta colors of green, red, and yellow. All three of these colorways are now available at Journey’s.
