UGK rapper Bun B stopped by 21 Mercer the other day to show his love for Spacejams by creating his own Spacejam-inspired Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke. The Nike AF1 Bespoke comes in the classic Spacejam Air Jordan XI colorway, using black patent and mesh on the upper, which sits atop a white midsole and icey clear outsole. Blue accents are added at the lace eyeholes and outsole to really keep the inspiration as accurate as possible. These will definitely hold B off until the Spacejams release in December, but of course he’ll probably get them sometime sooner, if he hasn’t already.

Bun B (born Bernard Freeman in 1973) and fellow Southern rapper, Pimp C, formed the popular southern rap duo named UGK. Both Bun B and Pimp C found much success through UGK, but that success was short lived after Pimp C was sent to jail in 2003. Bun B continued his career and is still featured in many hit rap singles to this day. He is most known for his influence in the southern rap game, but Bun B also has a passion that many are not aware of, sneakers.

The year 2008 proved to be amazing for sneakers. Releases ranged from the release of the last numbered sneaker in the Air Jordan line, the Air Jordan XX3 (23), all the way to Nike’s classic model, the Nike Air Force 1, being brought back in many new and amazing colorways in ’08. Many consider the past year to be one of the best ever in respect to sneakers and we hope it is only a sign that 2009 will be even better. We will be doing our part in ’09 to keep you updated in all aspects of the sneaker game and we hope that you find our hard work worth your time.

Bun B was photographed in a collection of pictures promoting his collaboration sneaker with Greedy Genius. The two join to release a special make-up of the Cool Breeze Vader. The Cool Breeze Vader is made up of patent leather on the toe cap, side, back panels, heel and collar while a gun metal logo stripes ties the everything together. In those shots of Bun B, detailing revealed a tribute chain to Pimp C, the other half of UGK. Stop by David Z to pick up your pair today.

Greedy Genius and artist Bun B have teamed up in their most recent collaboration to design the Greedy Genius Cool Breeze Vadors. This high-top is presented in pictures of Bun B wearing the sneakers and highlighting patent leather and grey highlights in close up shots. But, one thing that should not be overlooked is the RIP tribute key-chain paying respects to Pimp C, the other half of their group UGK. Release is expected to be around mid-September.
