For those of you who do not recall, the Air Jordan XII “Rising Sun” was initially supposed to officially release on October 24th, 2009. However, because of the “rising sun” insole, controversy arose and the release date was pushed back. Equipped now with an all-white insole, stores have begun swapping the old insoles with the new ones, in preparation for what will be an OFFICIAL release date of this Saturday November 21, 2009.

Although we’ve seen a select number of pairs of the Air Jordan Spizike pop up in select retailers in 2009, most notably the winterized boot versions, 2010 seems like it’ll be a bigger year for the Spizike silhouette. With previews of a “grape” colorway and of a patent leather pair, team Jordan Brand does not seem to be finished there. Originally just a sample, there are now pictures of what the final “Black Cement” Spizike product looks like. The spizike pictured here provides an alternative to the white cement Spizike that released a few years ago by coming in a predominantly black upper, while cement print can be found on the midsole, wings, heel, and lining of the toe box. Finally, there is a pattern lining the inside of the shoes with a bunch of words, including one that describes a move his airness seemed particularly fond of doing on the court: “dunk.” Where does this pair stand with respect to the slew of other Air Jordan Spizikes previewed as part of team Jordan Brand’s plans for 2010?

As the face of Jordan Brand’s campaign for its new Air Jordan 2010, it’s no surprise that recent JB signee Dwyane Wade is getting his own special version of the shoe. Keeping it simple with a two-tone white and black upper, the model features a ‘WADE’ embroidering on its tongue seam. No word on whether or not the model will make its way to the public, but the Air Jordan 2010 silhouette is scheduled to reach storefronts in black/white/red in February.

Marcus Jordan Causes UCF to Lose Adidas Basketball Scholarships

We all heard about Marcus Jordan and University of Central Florida’s predicament with Adidas, regarding UCF’s six year $3 million contract. If you haven’t, Marcus Jordan refuses to wear Adidas basketball shoes, which is required in the contract for each player of the UCF basketball team, opting to represent his father’s brand, Air Jordan. This led to negotiations between UCF and Adidas to allow Marcus Jordan to get what he wants, while still keeping the contract which funds UCF basketball as well as player scholarships. As a result, despite any clear decision, Marcus Jordan rocked the Rising Sun Air Jordan XII’s, along with Adidas ankle guards for UCF’s first game of the season against St. Leo. This sparked Adidas to retract their contract with UCF, for failure to keep to the dress code. UCF is making an effort to regain their Adidas contract; more updates to come soon.Via USA Today.

Every signature Air Jordan release from the I to the XXIII was covered, history and all. But perhaps of more interest to some was the white-on-white colorway each Jordan pictured was in. Those pictures got a lot of people drooling, hoping, and wishing that Jordan Brand would drop ANY of the all-white colorways displayed on the website.

Although there isn’t any word yet as to whether or not any white/white signature series Air Jordan will be releasing in the future, Jordan Brand doesn’t seem to stop making at least a few of each. Pictured here is the newly revealed Air Jordan 2010 in a completely white colorway that just adds another level of “fresh” to ANY sneaker. Were this colorway to actually drop, could that change your whole outlook on the Air Jordan 2010? Let us know your thoughts after the jump.
