They say the sneakerworld, like many other realms, is a LOT about connections. Well, in that case, there is perhaps no team to be more jealous of than the Motorsports racing team endorsed by Jordan Brand. This week we brought you a few shots of two more reasons to wish you were a part of either the Motorsports racing team or Jordan Brand- the Motorsports 6 Rings and AJ VI. Now, it is our pleasure to show you an exclusive look at not only the Air Jordan 6 Rings just mentioned, but also how it plays off of the Jordan-Suzuki American Superbike pictured here.

Thanks to photographer Brian J. Nelson, we’re able to show you some shots taken at the New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, NJ. The colorway used here matches perfectly with not only the motorcycles on which the team rides, but also the uniforms in which the team hits the track. The famous cement print needs no introduction, but to see it in such a sleek execution as black and white is sure to have people salivating as you read this. Enjoy more pictures after the jump.

We’ve seen Jordan Brand’s Motorsports 2009 Pack in parts before, news of the Air Jordan VI colorway hitting back in March and the Air Jordan 6 Rings previewing a few weeks ago. Now that we have the collection all together, we also have some more detailed release information. It appears as though the colorways will not be seeing a general release, the models only available to the AJ Motorsports team and their friends and family… but that doesn’t mean that a few pairs won’t make their way on the bay one day. Despite the minor hiccup in Jordan Brand’s Air Jordan XII Retro release schedule, many of us are still excited for the popular AJ model to hit retailers. In efforts to revive the retro card, JB will be including a brand new card with the AJXII ‘Flu Game’ model.  The card gives Jordan’s 38 point game against the Utah Jazz in the 1997 NBA Finals a visual identity comprised of symbols, the sick face representing his Airness playing through the symptoms of the flu. Set to release on the 27th of November (we hope), the sneaker features the same hieroglyphic message on its tongue.

After previewing a whole bunch of team specific colorways of the Air Jordan 1 Phat Mid last month, we now of word of a new Black/White colorway of the shoe in its low-top incarnation. The otherwise White sneaker is complemented by Black in the lining, outsole, patent leather upper panels, and chenille (varsity letter material) Swoosh. Expected to hit retailers sometime in November, you can take a closer look at the model after the jump.

By now,  most of you have probably heard about Jordan Brand’s Air Jordan XII Retro ‘Rising Sun’ release fiasco. Originally set to hit retailers yesterday, October 24th, JB announced on Friday that they were delaying the launch of the collection – footwear, apparel, and accessories included. Rumour has it that issues with the ‘Rising Sun’ insole are the main reason for delay, but we’ll have to wait and see what changes are made in the new version to be sure. The new scheduled release date for the model is November 21st, leaving those of you who were fortunate enough to grab a pair before the recall with a solid month of exclusive ownership.

A series of Air Jordan XIIs releasing this holiday season was supposed to start off with a white pair nicknamed the “Rising Sun.” An initial release date was set for this Saturday October 24, 2009. However, we have now received an official statement from Jordan Brand regarding the pushing back of this release date. The people at JB state that they “regret to inform you that the Jordan Brand is delaying the October 24 launch of the Air Jordan XII Retro collection, which includes footwear, apparel and accessories.” Furthermore, JB asks that no retailers make the pair of Air Jordan XII’s available for purchase or even have them on display. JB also promises it “will be providing further direction on the product launch in the coming days.” So stay tuned to the same SneakerFiles channel for this and all other sneaker news.
