After previewing for you a series of Mountain Edition releases from Vans, we are now here to show you a collection that has released with some inspiration, perhaps, drawn from the farm. Pictured here is a pair of the Vans Slip-On and Sk8 Hi done up in a brown and white colorway. But what is perhaps worthy of more notice is the fact that the entire upper of both sneakers is made of cow hair material. This pack has begun to release from certain Vans retailers, so check-in with your preferred local spot to see if they do or plan to have these in stock.

After hearing about the Vans Re-Issue of the Ray Barbee Vans Old Skool ‘92, we were a little excited. What makes us go crazy is the fact that Vans has released a whole Ray Barbee Re-Issue collection to celebrate 20 years of the man’s professional skate career. The Re-Issue collection consists of the aforementioned Old Skool ‘92 LX in white and black colorways, a Vans Era ‘87 in green, and a Vans Chukka ‘95 in brown. All four skate shoes are released like it’s not even 2009, with the original materials, packaging, and everything else to every last detail. After previewing the Knoll x Vans Mountain Edition, Vans has rolled out another release for the hightop model. The Vans Syndicate Mountain Edition Mid S also contracts some heavy material hitters, using ballistic nylon mesh and Wolverine leather on the uppers of the warrior/black and warrior/khaki colorways. Waterproof pigskin nubuck and OUTLAST inner lining are also added to the mix, making this shoe a mouthful to say when reading off the list of materials used. These Mountain Editions are built to withstand the harsh winter season, and run in a limited quantity, for $110 each.

Usually, collaborations boost shoe sales by making shoes look better. The latest collaboration by Vans not only makes a pair of Vans look good, but have better quality as well. Vans Vault teamed up with KnollTextiles, a material manufacturing company that specializes in top of the notch material. The Knoll x Vans Vault Mountain Edition High LX is the finest of Vans, coming in four tonal colorways that utilize the best material Knoll has. The Mountain Edition High comes in purple, blue, olive, and black, with uppers that feel like some durable synthetic material close to vinyl. Each shoe sports a brown leather logo side panel and white midsole to make these some clean colorways. Look out for a release in Spring 2010.

In June, we showed you two pairs of the Vans Switchback. Now, it’s time for two new pairs to be shown. One comes in a very sleek all-black upper with white sole. Empire BMX came together with Vans to create a special mockup of the Vans Brasco. The Empire BMX x Vans Brasco is a limited edition lowtop skate shoe that features a mix of black suede, black quilted suede panel, and leather on the upper. The dark upper is contrasted by a bright white midsole and gumsole. The Empire crown logo is donned in gold on the tongue tag to match the gold accents on the eyelets and contrast stitching. The folks over at Vans have dropped a handful of new colorways of their classic Vans Authentic, starting the month off with a bang. Featuring bright neon uppers, the pack includes models in Blue, Yellow, and Orange, all of which utilize some well placed detail work in their colored midsole stripes and white eyelets.
