To hype up the release of the Solebox x Asics Gel Lyte III even more, the two companies add MusicSkins into the mix by creating a series of skins for different platforms. A wide range of skins have been created which includes all the most popular gadgets including several iPods, Black Berries, PSP’s, Nintendo DS and the Zune. The skins wrap all the way around, this can be seen when the front and the back designs are placed side by side. The colors are made up of a gradient purple and white logo. All skins are now available at MusicSkins for $15.
As anticipation grows for the release of the Solebox x Asics Gel Lyte III, a new commercial has surfaced to help promote the collaboration. The commercial consists of different people in the city who lift their shoes in the air to demonstrate the color change concept as the Sun shines on the sneaker. A very creative and interesting commercial that will definitely entice consumers to pick-up one of the hottest collaborations of the year. Release is scheduled for August 23rd.
Solebox has been quite busy partaking in sneaker collaborations including Lacoste and Asics. German Sneaker boutique Solebox is known for their matching items, this time the Gel Lyte III is accompanied by a matching jacket.
The jacket compliments the sneaker by appearing in grey on the outside while featuring grey on the inside. Like the sneaker itself, the zipper also changes color when sun hits it. The sneakers will be limited to only 250 pairs while the jacket will be a little harder to get at a limited quantity of 100 pieces. Release is scheduled for August 23rd exlcuisvely at the Solebox store.
Onitsuka Tiger stay consistent by bringing a similar look from their Spring collection into their Fall and Winter 2008 collection. Included are the Seck, Seck Mid as well as the Coolidge. The Seck and Coolidge Low appears in more subtle and basic color combination’s while the Seck Mid is a little more loud and vibrant. THe Fall and Winter collection appear to offer a little something for everyone, ranging from the casual look to the style afficionados. All are available now at Mita.
Onitsuka Tiger’s Sunotore 72 has just been released in three different styles, white, red and black. Each model features an image of Tokyo’s skyline. Furthermore, each model is hit with a variety of materials including 3M at the heel and patent leather on the logo. These trio of Sunotore 72’s reveal the Japanese roots of Onitsuak Tiger and reflect their past and present style. Available now at ripe.
Following up to the earlier Asics Gel Lyte III x Mita Sneakers report, here’s a look at two more GLIII’s from the collaboration. Consisting of numerous materials including patent leather, quilted nylon, webbing, polkadots, speckle pattern, splatter, snakeskin mid-sole, and polka dotted laces, these Asics Gel Lyte III’s are liltte more over whleming than the black and purple versions seen earlier. This time around, solid silver and violet uppers are used along with the materials mentioned above. Look for the collab sneakers to drop this week. Via Sneaker Freaker.
A few new Asics and Asics Onitsuka Tiger’s have just released at Overkill including the GT-II LE that we reported not to long ago. We mentioned earlier that the GT-II LE features a simple black and white color-way that shy away from the more colorful Gel Lyte III. The GT-II is accompanied by the Saiko Runner that sports more color than the GT-II. Two color-ways are available, men’s black/red/yellow/blue and women’s white/pink/green/purple. All three styles are now available at Overkill.
Last week’s preview of the latest Asics GT II can be summed up as simple and classy. Here are two more GT II’s using a similar concept. The first of the two is a white based model hit with soft black accents and perforated leather.
