Wale, a big sneaker head, will finally get a collaboration with Nike Basketball. However, this pair won’t be easy to obtain. Introducing the Wale x Nike GT Future “Ice,” also known as simply “Blue.” The new model has received a lot of positive feedback, looks-wise, because it draws on DNA from early 2000s basketball sneakers.
Months back, Wale was seen wearing this Nike GT Future. However, at the time, it wasn’t known if the pair would be released. Obviously, that has changed and will be available at Foot Locker. Highlighted in Photo Blue, Midnight Navy, Black, and Metallic Silver. As you can see, the shoes are covered in Blue with 3M reflective accents on the upper. Connecting to the artist, his signature lands on the insoles. Iridescent detailing appears on the Swoosh and hangtag with Wale’s logo. Other details include Silver accents and a Black rubber outsole.

It’s about time that Nike starts showing love to Wale. He was a big part of the Foamposite craze back in the 2010s, which led to the model receiving a ton of hype. The only drawback of this collaboration is its limited scope. I didn’t expect the shoes to be a general release, but only Foot Locker and a handful of boutiques will have the pair.
