The Reebok Question Mid ‘Yellow Toe’ is a tribute to Kobe Bryant, who wore a Player Exclusive iteration during his sneaker free agency in 2002-03. Reebok had planned to release the pair during NBA All-Star Weekend in Chicago in February, but due to Kobe Bryant’s passing in January, they temporarily placed the release on-hold.
Now we have learned in November Reebok will release an ‘Alternate’ pack which will feature three models including two colorways of the Question Mid and the Kamikaze II. Each pair will be a tribute to the alternate uniforms of the 90s and 00s.
Breaking down each pair, the Reebok Question Mid ‘Yellow Toe’ will pay tribute to the White alternatives that were usually worn on Sundays and holiday games. The ‘Black Gold’ Question Mid is a nod to Iverson’s team in 97. The final pair is the Kamikaze II ‘Black Red’, which is for the alternate uniforms that were worn by Shawn Kemp and his team in the late 90s.
