Back in 2015, Packer Shoes teamed up with rap legend Raekwon, and Italian footwear specialists, Diadora, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of The Chef’s classic solo debut, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx. The result of that partnership was, of course, the “Purple Tape” N.9000, but at the time, we also created a second colorway inspired by the album’s cover.
Raekwon was the only person to receive the ‘Cuban Linx’ colorway, which was a 1-of-1. This year also celebrates the album’s 25th Anniversary and the 30th Anniversary of the N.9000 model. Therefore, Pack Shoes will launch the pair to the public. Dressed in a Red, Black, and Yellow color combination is a tribute to the album cover. Next, the pair comes with updated materials like pony hair and ostrich leather. Finally, we have a parental advisory label on the tongue tag and ‘1995’ embroidered on the heel counter.
