Nike Sportswear is celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Outkast’s iconic album, ATLiens. In the best way the brand knows how, a special pair of sneakers will drop. Arriving in Fall 2026, the Air Force 1 O96 “ATLiens” will be inspired by the album cover.
ATLiens was released on August 27, 1996, and was the second studio album by Outkast. The album debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 chart, and sold 350,000 copies in its first two weeks. Now, certified double platinum, it spawned hits like Elevators (Me & You), Wheelz of Steel, Two Dope Boyz, and Jazzy Belle.
This Nike Air Force 1 Low for Outkast features a Black, Vivid Purple, Deep Night White, Barely Volt, and Desert Bronze color scheme. Although I haven’t received a first look, the pair appears to be inspired by the ATLiens album cover. Furthermore, it seems the shoes won’t be an official collaboration with Outkast, but rather a tribute release. However, I haven’t been able to confirm this part as of yet. Although I haven’t seen the sneakers, I can already tell this will be a dope release. Being an Outkast fan (who isn’t), this will be a must-pickup. The ATLiens is a classic album, and aside from the music, the cover art was so nice! So this Air Force 1, inspired by the cover art, makes it a top 10 pickup for me in 2026.
