Champs Sports and their Game Plan line is set to once again release a whole set of gear for another monster athlete. This time around Champs has picked Detroit Lion’s wide receiver Calvin Johnson and his Sandy Creek HS in Georgia. Calvin became a top national recruit out of Sandy Creek in Tyrone, GA while also carrying his team to its first regional championship. After three solid seasons at Georgia Tech, Johnson advanced to the NFL and became the 2nd overall pick in the draft behind Jamarcus Russel. Now a days we all know him as Megatron, a guy who has been destroying the league for years; however it is humbling to know that he wants to show love for where his entire career began.
The Game Plan line from Champs Sports is a great idea that can give credit to the players that deserve it. After releasing the Superhero editions of LeBron, Durant and the Mamba and then the Ken Griffey Jr line, here comes a look that could only be created by a football player. Hopefully Champs can keep the multi-sport gear roll out throughout the end of summer.
