Paul George and Nike are back, and the two will re-release his first signature shoe, the PG 1. So far, the brand has announced two colorways that will return, and this pair is now known as the โWhite Iceโ PG 1. Originally released in 2017, the pair was initially known as โCheckmate,โ while some have called them โChrome.โ
The 2026 iteration of this Nike PG 1 will mimic the OG and comes dressed in a clean White and Black colorway. As you can see, the shoe features mostly White on the upper with mesh across the base. The same shade lands on the mid-foot strap, toe, tongue, and ankle. Standing out, the Swoosh is dipped in Black, while the same shade outlines Georgeโs logo on the tongue, and signature on the insoles. Other details include White on the midsole, 3M reflective on the heel loops, and an icy Blue translucent rubber outsole.

Nike PG 1 White Ice 2026 Release Date
The Nike PG 1 โWhite Iceโ will be released in Spring 2026 at select Nike Basketball retailers, including Nike, Foot Locker, Finish Line, DSG, and Hibbett. Bottom Line
While I am a fan of the Nike PG 1, this colorway is a bit plain for me. I can see why people like them, but I donโt like the mostly White upper. I do like the icy Blue translucent outsole, which I am sure most do. Also, in my opinion, the timing isnโt ideal, as it will release during the rainy season. If you plan to wear them indoors to hoop, you donโt have to worry about that.
