Nike Basketball will pay homage to Kevin Durant’s NBA roots by releasing the “Rain City” KD 18. When KD was drafted into the NBA, he was selected second overall by the Seattle Supersonics. However, he would play just one season before the team moved to Oklahoma City, and is now known as the Thunder.
This Nike KD 18 is dressed in a Black, Fir, University Gold, and Anthracite color combination. Dressed in Seattle Away colors, the shoes feature Black across the upper, constructed with nubuck and mesh. Standing out, we have rain droplets on the TPU overlays, which are outlined in Yellow. On the inside of the tongue, it reads 06.28.07, which is the date KD was drafted. Yellow also outlines the Swoosh and appears on the EASY branding on the heels. Other details include rain on the insoles and a mostly Black rubber outsole.
