Kevin Durant and Nike Basketball will add another signature sneaker to his long-going series, the KD 18. So far, we have seen multiple color options of the KD 17 debut. However, in the Summer of 2025, the brand will move on to the next model.
Like Durant’s predecessor model, the KD 18 will be inspired by another classic sneaker. This time, Nike Basketball will take DNA from the Air Humara, originally launched in 1997. Although not confirmed, the pair could be a nod to KD’s childhood and a sneaker he wore or was a fan of.
Our sources at Nike provided details about the upcoming release, including the technology breakdown. Furthermore, the image used is an accurate mock-up. The upper will feature a TPU cage and open mesh on the toe box with a suede overlay. As for the cushioning, it will have a cushlon midsole, DOT weld heel Strobel, and Air Zoom in the forefoot.
Nike KD 18 Release Date
