The GT Future itself arrived in 2025 as part of Nikeโs โGreater Than (G.T.)โ performance series. Multiple silhouettes are part of the lineup. However, the Nike GT Future blends modern performance cues with futuristic design language. It didnโt immediately replace anything in Nikeโs lineup, but once people saw early colorways in the wild, it became clear this was something Nike wanted to build into its next chapter of basketball sneaker releases. For March, the brand will debut the โGalaxy Auraโ colorway, which is already grabbing attention.
What makes the โGalaxy Auraโ feel different from a simple space theme is how Nike and designer Frank Cooke treated the upper. Instead of just slapping stars or galaxy prints onto the shoe, the base uses Black, allowing the detailing to stand out. Around the midfoot and heel, color bursts resemble nebulous patterns, utilizing shades of Green and Yellow.
Black Swooshes appear by the collar and on the tongues, while a Black midsole with Green GT Future branding completes the design. Each pair also comes with a dust bag and a Silver box with a translucent lid.

Bottom Line
This colorway doesnโt scream for attention, but it will draw double takes from sneakerheads. Itโs bold enough to stand out, but simple enough to actually fit into a rotation. Thatโs why the โGalaxy Auraโ feels like one of the more thoughtful GT Future drops of recent seasons. As most of the GT Futures have been selling out, I can see individuals going after this pair as well.
