Nike Book 1 “Torched” Releases December 2025

The Nike Book 1 “Torched” will be released on December 30, 2025. This will be the final Book 1 to launch before Devin Booker’s next signature shoe releases. Highlighted with burn detailing, the retail price is $155.

Typically, when Nike Basketball announces a “What The” colorway, that’s the last shoe of the model, and from there, we move on to the next silhouette. However, that isn’t the case with the Book 1. While we have the launch of the “What The” Book 1 in December, there is one more pair dropping before we move to the Book 2. The last pair to be released is the “Torched” Book 1 and will drop in late December 2025.

This Nike Book 1 is symbolic of the end of the silhouette and moving to the next model. The shoes feature a canvas upper mostly covered in White, while burn marks appear on the Swoosh, toe, and part of the midsole. The burn areas mix shades of Black and Brown, which also appear on the laces and tongue. Not only does this pair symbolize the end, but it also plays off of the Phoenix rising from the ashes mythology, the team he plays for. The tongue label also has burn holes, and the insoles have a burn graphic. Lastly, the shoes feature a White rubber outsole.

Bottom Line

I do like the concept of this pair and the burn markings. Oddly, Nike Basketball has said on SNKRS that “What The” would be the last Book 1, but that obviously isn’t the case. Personally, I think this pair should have released before the “What The,” but I guess it doesn’t matter. Hopefully, those who want them are able to get a pair.
