What’s cool about the Nike Book 1 is that Nike Basketball incorporates various themes into the shoes, and in some cases, draws inspiration from classic releases. For September 2025, the brand will debut the “Air Safari” Book 1.
The Book 1 “Air Safari” is inspired by the Nike Air Safari, originally released in 1987 and designed by Tinker Hatfield. The color blocking also mimics the “Black Monarch” iteration, which was last released in 2024.
This Nike Book 1 is dressed in a Black and Monarch color combination. Highlighting the shoes is Safari print around the toe, ankle, and heel. In addition, Monarch, a shade of Orange, graces the toe box, liner, Booker branding on the tongue, and “96” on the heel pull tabs. The Swoosh logos on the panels are embroidered in White, while the same shade covers the midsole. Other details include “Chapter One” on the heels and a Black rubber outsole.
