Before Kanye West joined adidas, he and Nike would release the Nike Air Yeezy 2. A total of three colorways launched which is the ‘Solar Red’, ‘Pure Platinum’ and ‘Red October’ colorways.
Just before the ‘Red October’ released, Kanye West actually wanted the Nike Air Yeezy 2 ‘Mismatch Sample’ to release instead. However Nike ruled against it and thought that this sample was too close to the other two color options. They would then wind up release the ‘Red Octobers’ for the third.
