Regarding the Nike Air Max 90, many people think of OG colorways, with the classic “Infrared” on the top of the list. Last released in 2020, it’s about time to see a retro. However, that won’t be the case. Instead, Nike Sportswear will debut the “Infrared 3M” Air Max 90 in Spring 2026, featuring slightly different blocking and 3M reflective details in areas the original did not.
Some “news sources” have announced that the OG “Infrared” Air Max 90 will return. However, I can confirm that it will be a play off the original colorway.
This Nike Air Max 90 is dressed in White, Particle Grey, Light Smoke Grey, Black, and Infrared 23. The overall look is the pair we all know and love. However, Nike will use Dark Grey across the toe box, ankle, and around the heel, with 3M reflective. Furthermore, it won’t have mesh in those locations. It will be a synthetic material.
As for the rest of the shoes, they will feature Light Grey suede above the Black leather mudguard, while the same shade covers the Nike Air on the heels. Highlights include Infrared on the Air Max branded plate, around the Air Max unit, Nike Air on the tongue, eyelets, and hinted on the outsole. The look is completed with a White midsole and Black on most of the sole.
