New Balance and Public School’s Dao-Yi Chow announced its latest collaboration “WE NEED LEADERS” exclusively with creative incubator Greenhouse. The collaboration combines performance and lifestyle with a reimagined New Balance 327, FuelCell RC Elite, and running apparel, taking inspiration from Dao-Yi’s own experiences as a 4X marathoner
Originally created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 2020 TCS New York City Marathon, the capsule pays homage to street running culture, highlighting PSNY’s recurring themes of social consciousness, engagement, and the importance of being a leader.
“The idea of We Need Leaders is a reminder that it is far greater to lead than to follow. Staying active to both better yourself and your community is so important in the times we’re living in right now,” says Public School’s Dao-Yi Chow. “Now more than ever, we need to be our best selves and leaders for our communities have to get out, show up and make our voices heard.”
Brought together by a shared vision of championing citizens to be their best selves both as athletes and in the community, the limited-release collaboration blends sport and lifestyle with the New Balance 327 and FuelCell RC Elite. Public School’s Dao-Yi Chow incorporates his own spin on the two models with a collaborative logo incorporated.
