For a collaboration that many didn’t see coming but makes all the sense, adidas Terrex announced a multi-season collaboration with National Geographic, in which these two leaders in outdoor adventure will release high-performance outdoor wear. The partnership is formed upon a shared appreciation of nature and the foundational need for humans to connect to the world around them.
The adidas Terrex Swift R3 GTX (Gore-Tex) is a hiking shoe that offers a peak combination of lightweight construction and cushioning, commonly seen in trail runners with the stability of a hiking boot. Finished in a print inspired by a stunning aerial shot of Earth, the hiking shoes come with a GORE-TEX lining and membrane seal so water is kept out, and a Continental Rubber outsole for optimal grip in wet or dry conditions.
You can expect the National Geographic x adidas Y-3 Terrex Swift R3 GTX color options will release at select retailers and adidas.com on April 27th. The retail price is $160. The shoes will be available in men’s and women’s colorways. Below, you can check out more photos for a closer look.
