Levi’s and Jordan Brand have once again teamed up, this time on the Air Jordan 3. Among the four unique colorways in the collection, the “Year of the Horse” stands out for its homage to the Lunar calendar. Instead of simple color swaps, this release uses rich materials and cultural details to create a narrative that feels both timeless and forward-looking.

The Levi’s x Air Jordan 3 “Year of the Horse” brings a premium denim reinterpretation to the silhouette. The upper features unbleached rigid ecru denim paired with pony hair panels that replace the classic elephant print, reflecting both Levi’s workwear heritage and the strength and spirit associated with the Year of the Horse.

This edition also includes a jacquard heel tab and Red chain-stitch embroidery reading “Year of the Horse” on the interior tongue. Levi’s signature Red tab appears on the lateral heel, while Jumpman branding remains intact.

Bottom Line

The collection has really shaped up nicely. At first, I wasn’t impressed. However, each pair has grown on me. While the Year of the Horse pair is a nice addition, it’s not my top pair from the lineup. What I do like is the pony hair used and the color scheme. The Red details make this pair stand out.
