Ronnie Fieg and Asics will debut two new Kith x Asics Gel Lyte V collaborations to celebrate Kithโs 10th Anniversary.
The two Kith x Asics Gel Lyte V releases come in the โSalmon Toeโ and โLeather Backโ colorways, which were originally used on the Gel Lyte III. Fieg announced on Twitter that if you own a pair of the โSalmon Toe,โ โSalmon Toe 2.0,โ or โLeather Backโ Gel Lyte IIIs, reply to the post with a picture of the shoe, today’s date, and email. Following this, Kith will email people who took part to join a Zoom panel next week, and they will receive a special gift. While not confirmed, it’s possible that the special gift will be the shoes.
This marks the first time Fieg returns to the GEL-Lyte V silhouette since 2015. The model retains its classic elements while reimagined through Kithโs 10th Anniversary lens. Pigskin suede is seen all throughout the upper, while โSalmon Toeโ and Leatherbackโ color blocking sits on a rubber midsole and outsole. Both shoes feature the 10 Year KXTH branding on the sock liner and debossed on the heel as an homage to its placement on the original GEL-Lyte IIIs. Tonal Fieg and Asics branding on the tongue nod to both partners, and lastly, each colorway comes in a custom box that represents the iconic Asics stripes as well as a KXTH dust bag.
