First Look Air Force 1 Weatherman

Earlier in the month, images started leaking of the Nike Air Foamposite One “Weatherman”, which featured a design on the upper unlike anything we’d ever seen before. Well, it looks like that shoe has an old-school uncle, in the form of the Nike Air Force 1 “Weatherman”.

Utilizing the same predominantly-blue doppler radar pattern seen on the aforementioned Foamposite One, accented with what appears to be black nubuck with volt branding on the heel, the shoe sits atop a blue midsole/outsole combination. While it has yet to be seen if these shoes are part of a KD-inspired pack, it wouldn’t be the first time Nike has used a player’s signature sneaker to pay tribute to another one of its own (see: Nike Lebron VII “Heroes” pack, which featured this Penny-inspired sneaker). Is this simply a case of Nike getting trigger-happy with the “unique print” designs they’ve been coming up with as of late (the “Fighter Jet”, “Special Ops”, and in particular, the upcoming “Asteroid Gradient” Foamposite One all come to mind), or a taste of a possible KD-inspired pack? They could just be part of a tribute to Christian Doppler, the radar effect’s namesake and creator… ok, probably not. Either way, keep it locked to SneakerFiles.com, as we’ll keep you updated as soon as new info hits.
