Del Toro is a luxury footwear brand set up in Miami, and they’re known for the use of exotic skins with casual footwear, and recently did a collaborative project with Stockholm designer, Erik Bjerkesjo, on the Spring 2014 Cross Trainer. Moving on to more footwear releases, Del Toro is releasing a pack of sneakers with a Muppets theme. The Del Toro Alto Chukka Sneaker The Muppets Animal limited edition sneakers feature a portrait of the title character on an all red suede, gum-sole shoe. Wonderfully embroidered into the side of the chukka midtops, Animal’s grinning face can be seen on a nearly matching red background. For lacing, the shoes come with brown leather strands. “Del Toro” branding makes it’s way along the midfoot of the rubber soles, as usual.
