Set to hit UK retailer size? this weekend as an exclusive release is a special Stars ‘n’ Bars Pack from Converse.
To say that Converse is as old as it is young could be classed as a bold statement, but it’s true. Even though the sportswear and lifestyle brand is over 100 years old, Converse footwear transcends generations and is worn by people of various ages and from different backgrounds. To capture some of the heritage of what the all-American brand holds, the size? exclusive Stars ‘N Bars collection showcases the early evolutionary stages of Converse’s first basketball silhouettes and remodels them in premium suede and leather, perfect for these colder months.
The Chuck Taylor All Star was the world’s first signature basketball shoe in 1932 and has been a classic ever since it first hit the hardwood. A model which stays true to its roots, not wavering from its original design. Next in the pack is the Star Player, which is similar to the All Star, but includes a more padded and stabilised upper. Sporting a vulcanised sole and rubberised toe box just like the original 1975 model, the Star Player is a silhouette full of character that is a simple upgrade to its older brother.
The final model to be presented is the popular Pro Leather, a market leader at the time due to it being the first ever basketball shoe to feature a cup sole back in 1976. Its basic, easy to wear style is one we are pleased to see featured in this pack.
