Commonwealth is opening a brand new store which will allow them to be global. This new location is in the Philippines and to celebrate, they are teaming up with Asics. Known as the Commonwealth x Asics Gel Lyte V ‘Kultura’ which is inspired by the Kalinga.
Kalinga is both a tribal community and a land locked province in the heart of the Cordillera Region, North Luzon, the Philippines. Seen from a distance by their distinctive body art, the Kalinga people passionate lives in a world where your skin communicated your social status to the local community.
This Asics Gel Lyte V features a premium nubuck, suede and mesh construction throughout. In addition they use Tan along with Batok inspired artwork on the tongue and collar which is finished off with Navy. Completing the look is White on the midsole and Gum on the outsole.
The Commonwealth x Asics Gel Lyte V Kultura is scheduled to release on April 7th exclusively at Commonwealth. Additional Asics retail stores will debut them on April 14th.
