What makes a sneaker worth buying other than how it looks or who it’s made by? When there is a powerful message behind the make and reasoning of the shoe. BAIT and Saucony came together to release BAIT x Saucony Shadow Original “CruelWorld”. This sneaker is one of a kind because of the animal-friendly approach on the retro shoe, and by “animal-friendly” we mean the vegan materials used to make this shoe.
Constructed entirely of vegan materials, “CruelWorld” features an upper made of suede, canvas, and hemp while the sole is made of cord. Even the glue that holds the shoe together is cruelty-free. Each pair comes with an engraved wooden token signifying BAIT and Saucony’s appreciation for your support. Aside from promoting anti-cruelty, this particular sneaker puts an emphasis of positivity. A portion of the proceeds coming from this shoe will go to A Place Like Home, a non-profit youth center in South Central LA. This youth center provides a mentorship program focused on arts, athletics, dance, and music to local kids and teens.
Those who want to help promote anti-cruelty and make a difference in this world one step at a time can reserve a pair as early as Friday, November 22nd at the BAIT store. For $120, the sneaker is set to hit shelves on December 2nd.
