For the first time, San Diego’s own Arts-Rec will collaborate with Nike Skateboarding for a two-part collaboration. One of the pairs is releasing the Arts-Rec x Nike SB Dunk Low.
Arts-Rec is a skate shop created by pro skateboarder Kellen James. Founded in 2018, the boutique blends skateboarding, music, and sneaker culture. At their store, you won’t just find skateboards, but they offer Nike and Air Jordans.
This Nike SB Dunk Low features a Khaki, Amber Brown, Rough Green, Rust Pink, Black, and Sail color scheme. As you can see, the pair mixes earth shades across the upper with Pink nubuck on the base and tumbled leather on the panels. In addition, safari print wraps the toe, eyestays, and heels. In addition, on the heels we have “arts” and “rec,” while “for recreational use” appears on the sides.
Across the translucent outsole, we have “Arts-Recreation San Diego California.” Connecting to the Zoo, we have phrases like “Please Do Not Tap On Glass” and “Please Do Not Feed the Animals.” The design is completed with a safari hat on the inside of the tongue.
