The Air Jordan 9 ‘Baseball’ Pack pays homage to Michael Jordan’s short lived baseball career. Included are two color options which will have a unique way of releasing.
The first Air Jordan 9 in the pack features ‘Black Leather’ which will have a Black upper, White on the outsole and other accents. The number 45 is a tribute to Jordan’s time with the Birmingham Barons. The second uses ‘Brown Leather’ while tBrown takes over the uppers and Off-White seen on the midsole, outsole and other accents. The number 35 is stitched on the heel paying tribute to his stint with the Scottsdale Scorpions of the Arizona Fall League in 1994.
Each will feature a premium theme while constructed with leather. Resembling that of a baseball glove, they have woven lacing on the panels and heel along with raw laces. Finishing the look Jordan’s respective number used playing for each team on the heel. Each will come with a large Jumpman hangtag like we have seen on Pinnacle releases.
Instead of having the color description on the box, it will read ‘Multi-Color/Multi-Color’. This helps the act of surprise when you open them.
Air Jordan 9 Baseball Pack Release Date
The Air Jordan 9 Baseball Glove Pack will release on July 15th, 2017. Retail price is $250. Rumor has it that both will be limited to 2,000 pairs. The ‘Brown Leather’ edition will be more limited than the ‘Black Leather’. They will be available at select Jordan Brand retailers.
When you purchase a pair, you won’t actually know if you will receive the ‘Black Leather’ or ‘Brown Leather’ until you open it. This is to resemble that of buying baseball cards and the excitement you receive when opening the pack and hoping to get something rare.
