Update (2/2/26): The “Cap and Gown” Air Jordan 6 was originally expected to launch on April 2nd. However, the new release date is April 30th.
Jordan Brand will celebrate the graduates again with another addition to the “Cap and Gown” series. Launching in Summer 2026, we have the “Cap and Gown” Air Jordan 6. Reminiscent of the “Black Cat” series, the shoes are traditionally dressed in Black. Furthermore, the time the shoes are released is around the time many graduates walk the stage.
The “Cap and Gown” series started in 2018, and the first pair to be released was the Air Jordan 11. Instantly, the shoes were highly sought-after as its all-Black makeover attracted fans. A year later, we would see a follow-up release: the “Cap and Gown” Jordan 13. Also retaining the all-Black theme, the shoes featured patent leather on the panels, and instead of the hologram, it featured the number 23.
This Air Jordan 6 is dressed in a Black and Multi-Color color combination. From the mock-up, the shoes will feature mostly Black throughout. However, there are a few changes compared to previous “Cap and Gown” releases. On the midsole and spoiler, you will notice Silver detailing. Furthermore, the pair will have 3M reflective accents outlining the shoes. The design is completed with a blacked-out rubber outsole.
