The AFEW x Asics Gel Lyte III ‘Beauty of imperfection’ was created together with the community. The inspiration is found in the Wabi-Sabi Philosophy. This is also reflected in the tear-away upper, which changes the Upper of the shoe. There is only 1 pair of this Gel Lyte III worldwide (size US 9), which comes together with a Special Box aka a Japanese tea table by Herschel Heck.
The project is from the community for the community. 100% of the proceeds go to the Förderverein Kinder- und Jugendhospiz Düsseldorf e.V. The Regenbogenland lives exclusively on donations.
The Regenbogenland Children’s and Youth Hospice is a facility for children and young people who have only a limited life expectancy due to a life-shortening illness or a severe disability. The home also supports the parents and siblings who are accompanied during this time. Regenbogenland is intended to be like a second home for the families, where life and joy of living are the focus and the remaining time for family and child is shaped as positive and fulfilling as possible.
You can expect the AFEW x Asics Gel Lyte III ‘Beauty of Imperfection’ to release via an IG live event on February 14th. Each ticket will cost you €5 via afew-store.com, with the shoe being raffled off to one lucky entrant. You’re allowed to purchase more than one ticket and all proceeds will be donated to the Regenbogenland Children’s and Youth Hospice.
