adidas Basketball and Anthony Edwards continue to heat things up with his latest signature shoe. After a long run of his first model, we are seeing more colorways of the AE 2 drop. In December, the brand introduced the “Alphadawg” iteration, featuring a clean color combination with hits of Blue.

The overall look resembles the “Best of Adi” AE 1, but this adidas Anthony Edwards 2 is dressed in Footwear White, Core Black, and Dusty Ink. The main difference is the use of Blue. Going over the pair, it features White on the mesh panels and part of the cage, while Ink, a shade of Purple, lands on the ventilated grill. Just below it, we have Blue that also lands on Edwards’ logo on the tongue and the Three Stripes on the heels. Along with Silver on the toe, the pair features White on the midsole and the rubber outsole, with the middle being translucent.

Bottom Line

In my opinion, this is a clean pair of the AE 2. Nothing over the top, just a nice colorway. What I also like about the “Alphadawg” is the Blue accents, although minimal, they do make the areas used stand out. I have been waiting for the right pair to pick up of the AE 2, which will be my first, and this might be the one.
